it is truly a rare thing when kpop groups release genuine great english songs. usually, it’s just random lyrics that rhyme here and there, thrown on a paper supported by weak instrumentals but i guess the choreography is at least nice but not with twice. definitely not. these 9 talented songwriters and self-producing women have not a single bad song on their name. the feels is a mix of 90’s disco pop with modern pop music. the lyrics, the production, the arrangement, the choreography, the mv - just everything is top notch. my expectations were all exceeded.
twice never fail to disappoint and i can proudly call this a successful and iconic first english single ever. if this is just the start then i don’t, or more like, can’t even imagine what’s gonna come next but one thing is for sure, you can always count on twice for great music!
